Your First Hero

  • You will be given your first Hero for free. You will have no daily upkeep to pay for it. The Heroes you can choose from are located in the Castle. Click on the castle and you will see three heroes available in your new city. You are given choices similar to these:

Sample Heroes

  • Before selecting your free hero, mouse over each one to see the skills they have been given. Here are the particulars my three heroes were given:

  • Notice in this case this hero has Leadership, Logistics and Defender.

  • this hero has Logistics and Fighter.
  • and this hero has Fighter and Healing.

Refer to the following tables to see a brief explanation of each of the skills your heroes come with:

Skills Table

  • You see all these skills and their levels when you view your Hero(es) in the Castle once you select one.
Archery Archers, Rangers and Marksmen become stronger (or any troop with a green background in its mouse-over / formation picture)
Ballistics Siege weapons do more damage (or any troop with a red background in its mouse-over / formation picture)
Cavalry Cavalry become stronger (or any troop with a purple background in its mouse-over / formation picture)
Fighter Foot soldiers get stronger (or any troop with a blue background in its mouse-over / formation picture)
Defender Increases Army health
Leadership Troops have greater morale
Knowledge Increases hero experience per kill and plays a role in tax collector efficiency
Logistics Your army gains faster movement between cities
Pathfinding Your army travels faster within cities
Scouting Increases Hero's sight range, at max it goes to range 4

Attributes Table

  • These Symbols tell you the other attributes of the Hero
Olive Leaf The current level of the Hero.
Crossing Weapons The Hero's attack power.
Shield Hero's life.

Skill Levels Table

  • Each skill has four stages to it. Every time your hero increases a level, he gains 1 additional point. Points are applied to a skill to level it up. This table tells you how many points are necessary to increase a skill to the next level.
  • Note: you can not raise a skill to the next level until point(s) have been applied to increase it to the previous level. Otherwise, it will take 6 points to raise a skill from none to master and 3 points to raise it from none to expert.
Points needed Title Points applied Color
0 none 0 grey
1 novice 1 green
2 expert 3 yellow
3 master 6 red

Refer to the available heroes you have in your castle and by using the tables above, make an educated decision (or is it a guess?) about which hero you feel is best for you. For this Game Guide I chose Stuart Frankenburger.

Once you choose your hero you will notice you received an additional 30 points. Your total points should now be 50.
