Train Pikeman
Now, before you do this, notice that the tutorial, as a reward, is going to give your Hero 22 Experience points. This is different from the Player Points you have been receiving!!! Your Hero(s) will accumulate points and you as a player will accumulate points. They are separate from each other.
So, let's go take a look at your heroes current points before making the pikeman. Open your castle and mouse-over the hero's experience bar. This is that off-white bar over his head and below his name. Right now it will be zero. Later on you will want to know how much further he has to go to level up. We'll look at this again after training a Pikeman.
Exit the castle and click on your newly built Barracks.
Request one Pikeman to be built. Before doing this, allow me to explain how to request only 1 instead of the maximum. This will prove quite useful later on. Refer to this picture:
Just below the name PIKEMAN is a fill-in box where you can type a number. In addition, you can click with your mouse the Ruby and use it as a slider bar. Finally, you can click on one of the three arrows to select various quantities of units to be trained. Clicking the arrow on the left will always select a quantity of 1. Click on that one now. The one on the right will always select the maximum possible regardless how many the building can build (right now the level 1 Barracks will only build one unit at a time). So you can order up a lot of troops and walk away. The middle one will order 1/2 of whatever the maximum amount is. For instance, if you can build 4 troops right now and click the middle arrow, 2 will fill in the quantity box and the Ruby slider button will position itself in the middle of the slider bar. So far, no troops have started being trained.
So. Click the left arrow (quantity 1) and then the order button:
In 30 minutes and 17 seconds after you click this order, the pikeman will get created and appear in the City Tactics window on the Rally Point you created earlier. If you did not create the Rally Point, he appears on the Barracks.
Once that is done, check on your Hero in the Castle once again and you will notice his experience bar is at 7% and when you mouse-over the experience bar you will see something like:
My heroes experience of (285 required for next level) may be different than yours if it is not at Level 3.
Ok. Let's get your hero some additional experience.
