Improve Storehouse Capacity

Here is the reason why. The castle stores 100 of each resource. In addition, the storehouse at each level will store more and more of each resource. I intentionally did not upgrade my storehouse yet to show you how I am losing resources by not upgrading my storehouse or using my resources to prevent the losses. Take a look at this image and let me point out a few things:

I have placed my mouse over the storehouse on the town map and it tells me that my Storehouse has a capacity of 660 resources. Below that notice across the bottom of the Town map, that we see a total of 760 of each resource. So, the 100 of each resource stored in the castle is added to the total the storehouse can store (660 at this level) giving you the grand total storage (760 at this point). You can always see these totals on the Town Map. The castle will always only store 100 of each resource. It does not increase no matter how far it is leveled up.

Now notice the Resource Extraction rates over on the right. In this case, they are coming into a full Storehouse at a rate of 70 of each resource per hour, and getting thrown away. We are not using them wisely. There is no game penalty for this but it is a shame not to be putting them to good use. By being mindful of your Storehouse capacity and upgrading it regularly, you will have plenty of resources to order up new buildings, upgrade buildings, order more troops to be trained in the military buildings (more on that in a few sections) and a donate some of them willingly or unwillingly to other players.

So. Go ahead and Upgrade the Storehouse one more level, which if you haven't noticed yet, will take 4 minutes and 48 seconds to complete.

At this point, let me point out a few things. The next level of the Storehouse will hold 1,190 of each resource, plus the 100 the castle holds which will increase your resource storage capacity to 1,290 of each. As the Storehouse is increased in levels it will be able to hold more and more of each resource. You should also note that some upgrades will complete in minutes but eventually they will take hours (since you asked nicely, around 24 hours). It is wise to queue up building upgrades that take a long time before you are going to be away from the game for extended times even though you do not yet have the resources to start them yet. Once the resources are available, the server will automagically begin building them for you even though you are not logged in.
