3000 TROOPS. 1000 Archers, 500 Rangers, 150 Norman, and the rest made up of swordmeat. On Ranged and agressive. Attack a city with 2000 Troops. 1000 Archers, 200 Horse Archers, the rest made up with never ending swordmen.
There is no wall between us, he is not there as he did not try and attack me(He must be on the same Range). Three spots inbetween us( Yes three in the middle).
HOW THE HELL DOES HE WASTE AWAY MOST OF THE TROOPS.
one hit for me is 7swordmen one hit for him is 30 swordmen, 9 Men at Arms, and 4 Pike. It went on like this for awhile. He does not have any ranged troops i repeat no range troops.
I ended up leaving with 1000 troops.
I just dont get this at all, and this is not the first time this has happenned. Is it because i am not buying Gold or something and i lose double what i should so i start spending money.

I think you should all see the stats of your hero/es. There is a stat called 'leadership' - the description 'Increases amount of units that can strike at once in an army'. So that basically says that limited amount of units can shoot/strike at the same time...

I have a hero that has mastered leadership but when i fought someone with a lot of army, it did not seem like all of my archers were shooting. Does anyone know what is the approximate amount of solders that can attack at once if you have a hero that has leadership mastered? Thanks,

This is my report by the way:

just because its master doesnt make them all shoot, it just makes more shoot than if there wasnt any hero with leadership skill.

I think, it is the horse-archers. They are much more effective on range then my archers and Norman-archers.(Hero is master-scout and expert-archer)

have you guyz played travian??

this game is just like it..

offensive troops are more powerful than defenders..

for example in travian game...

ROMAN TRIBE

1000 Imperian 1000 EQusite L. and 300 rams

can kill twice as much of these numbers of defender troops...

so when you defend make sure you have around x3 or 4 of much number of attacker of course def. troops......

the game do these coz defenders are easy to build( cheap) and more faster than the offensive armies...

this game is no where near that crappy game. in this game there's tactical combat unlike that "other" game with crappy non-strategical instant combat.

Agree, travian suck(:s27:)

I will never recommend that game or any text-based game, at least 2-D game like 1100ad

im not really saying that its same strategy game.. all im saying is that its game offensive power is much like travian.. the offense are more powerful than defense..

well I stayed away from my enemy so he did not reach me at all, that means that his offensive troops (i.e. knights, swordsman, etc.) did not attack me at all, it was all range troops against range troops. I had a lot more than him, and yet i was loosing. Plus i don't understand catapults, for knights it says that they are very bad against catapults, and yet my 150 catapults killed like 1 knight at a time (:s31:). I had a hero that had expert in ballistics as well.

catapults are crappy most likely is the reason, they have very little attack, and knights are the juggernaut of the game.

It doesn't mean that catapults are good against knights (:s10:)
