How to get gold!

Methods of acquiring gold

There are many methods for acquiring gold. Here are some of things you can do to get gold and with it a description.

Purchasing gold with real money

You can purchase gold with real money through the gold menu in-game. You can access the gold menu by simply click on the gold icon and the bottom for your town screen (where the amount of resources are displayed). The amount of gold per dollar/euro/other currency depends on the amount bought and what payment type you chose. The cost difference is due to how much that company gets per transaction for Ambergames.

  • Buying gold with real money is the easiest, fastest, and most efficient way to get gold.

Sponsorpay

Sponsorpay is a option you can chose in the window before you enter the "buy gold menu". Next to the "buy gold" button, you will see another button which looks like this: Free gold button Click it to access the many free ways to obtain gold. Most of these offer ways to get gold for free by fulfilling the criteria(s) posted.

Auction

There are three types of auctions:

  • Hero auction
  • Troop auction
  • Artifact auction

You can access the auction screen simply by clicking on your tavern and selecting the “Auction” tab. The default auction screen shows the hero auction first. To access the troop or artifact auction you must click on the icon at the bottom of the left picture. There are a few downsides to using this method:

  • Slow way to get gold
  • Waiting time may not pay off (no one bids on your auctions)

Hero auction

Hero auctions are auctions in which you can auction your heroes for gold or bid on heroes with gold.

Auctioning off a hero

There are some requirements that must be meet before you can auction off a hero:

  • All heroes auctioned must be level 5 or higher
  • Must have at least one built tavern

Now, you have 4 options to set:

  • Hero (select hero you wish to auction)
  • Time (Time frame in which to keep hero in auction)
  • Raise (Bidder must bid with amount of X% of previous price or greater)
  • Price (starting price)

Troop auction

Troop auctions are auctions in which you can auction off lots of 50 troops per lot for gold or bid on auction lots with gold. Each lot is set to expire within 20 days. If lot has not been bid on, the troops just disappear. When you auction off troops, their population cost to support them is removed from the town that’s supporting them (you get the population back so you can train more troops). You can cancel any of your auction lots that don’t have any bids yet however, you will not receive those troops back. They will merely disappear. If bidding on troops and the auction time remaining is greater than 12 hours, the action time will be set at 12 hours remaining after you bid. After the first bid, the remaining time will continue to decrease by a x amount for every other bid.

Auctioning off troops

There are some requirements/limits that must be meet before you can auction off troops:

  • Lots only contain 50 troops with each troop being the same type (i.e 50 knights, 50 archers, etc…)
  • You can only auction 5 lots at a time
  • You cannot auction mercenary troops
  • Auction lots are set only for 20 days
  • Troops must not be in a fixed (locked) group

Artifact auction

Artifact auctions are just that, auctions that pertain artifacts that your hero(s) can use. Click the buy now button to but the artifact instantly at 3X the price or click the raise arrow to place your bid.

Auctioning off Artifacts

  • Auctions are set only for 20 days
