Hear Ye, Hear Ye! The Street Herald Arrives!

In medieval times, long before newspapers, radio, or the internet, royal proclamations were delivered to the people by town criers and heralds. These trusted messengers walked through busy marketplaces and town squares, announcing royal decrees, important victories, new laws, and upcoming celebrations. Often carrying a bell or trumpet to attract attention, they would call out "Hear ye, hear ye!" before delivering their messages. For many townspeople, the herald was their most important source of news from the kingdom.
To honor this ancient tradition, a new decorative building, the Street Herald, has arrived in 1100AD! This magnificent statue depicts a medieval messenger, forever ready to announce the latest news to the citizens.
