Riga has joined the list of cities where Global Game Jam takes place.
GGJ is a unique event, which starts in more than 50 countries on the same day, when amateur video dame developers, designers and programmers team to develop games for 48 hours non-stop with a short 5-hour break for the nap.

This year GGJ starts on Friday evening, January 25.
Launched in 2008, this year is the first time when the event will be held in Riga, Latvia, and Amber Games, being the leading online game developer in the Baltics, could not miss the chance to support Riga Global Game Jam, and together with the University of Latvia sponsors the event. Amber Games employees will also coach and guide aspiring professionals, and help them to create games, that, who knows, might win the hearts of millions of game fans in the nearest future.
