I am having problems doing these tasks.
Every time I have tried to do these quests and select an army to go to the specified locations, I get a message stating that there is no path to location.
Can some please help

yes, I think this error comes from when you need to cross deep water (dark blue) but you have selected no ships to send with your army. Honestly, I would advise you to wait until you have at least 5000 troops before you attempt those quests. |

well, you can do this quest with less if you now how to configure armies and such. the biggest problem you will encounter at these places are other players. |

This happened to me also. I learned my hero needed pathfinding skill. When I changed his skills to pathfinding, he could go. |

I don't think so. But you can open a forum thread and ask for help, ask in the in-game chat, get a lord or ally for help or join an order (and ask fellow order members for help).
There is a little bit of information spread out among the forum and the wiki, but it's not all up-to-date and reliable.
In general, the army composition is much more important than the troop count, because the number of defenders will scale with the number of attackers inside the quest location.
