I'm having problems with retrieving some troops/scouts that I sent out. I keep selecting them and then selecting the button that states leave the city, but they are not moving and they are not returning back home. Please help.

To return armies home you need to put all your armies on exit points of the city and give command "Leave the city". When returning all of the armies must be returned together, you can't leave part of them in the city.
I'm assuming you either left a few troops behind or you did not select a returning point for your troops and confirmed it.
You have to do both!

Thank you for reply. I have placed all the armies at an exit point (it was only 2 scouts) and have selected "Order Armies to Leave the City" at the top a message appears "Command Accepted" but the army does not move. It is also not giving me the option to select a retruning poin.t

It is actually not supposed to move at this command.
If you have placed all troops on the exit point (also not one spot before it, bu really on the exit point) and click ...
... a choice of all your "jump point" locations is suposed to show. That can be your cities, forts and camps, those of your lord / vassal or those of your order.
Only after selecting such a "jump point" and confirming your choice, your army will leave the location.

If it really does not work then, you are most likely facing a bug and should contact support about it.

I have this problem too. I just captured a city, put all my troops on the exit spot, selected them all and clicked to leave. Every time I am taken to the attack page but I see no options to send my troops anywhere.

frump Do you want to return to another one of your own towns?
- In that case: Map -> Attack -> Select your destination (top right corner) -> Select troops (right half of the screen) -> "Help" (big green button)
Or do you want to attack/aid a city of another player?
- In that case you need to select your target city from the valley or the profile page of that player.
In both cases, as you are leaving one of your own cities, it is not necessary to be on an exit spot. But it should not prevent you from leaving either.

Hi, yes I do want to return to my other city, but a can't see any destination to select, either in the top right corner or anywhere else.
Above the green Aid button there is an horizontal row of red buttons- City, map, personal, politics, help- but no destination choice.
Have I missed something?

Your cities are listed where #1 is in this picture:

Thanks for your help, got there in the end. With the tutorial screen, the destinations do not appear in top right.
Apart from that, I see no explanation of how this works in game, destination choice gives no indication whether you have successfully selected it, and in fact, I find that you don't need to use the tactical screen at all(not a problem once you know)or select all your units.
This could do with some attention. Thanks again for your help, anyway.

It does at #10 and 11 in the picture.
I don't get that, you still need to move your troops!
