First of all before I say anything, if your going to get mad over so simple as this, I dont think this is the right game for you. Theres going to be way more horrible things that are going to happen. Wait until your entire army is wiped out 20x over again. Maybe then will it be appropriate to be angered.
Second of all, this person you speak of, any of these could be the reason:
1. Might be new and not know what to do
2. He might have said sorry because he refuses your offer and doesnt wanna be ally
3. He said sorry but just hasnt gotten around to it yet or hasnt logged on since then
4. He might really just not be interested in the game some people rarely log on
You can never ever rely on another person to help. You have to make yourself strong enough to back your own self up. I suggest to relax for a while. Dont leave your city/cities until youve trained enough troops you know you wont get killed.
And to help you understand what Crimson is saying...by "paying hero" he means one of the heros you pay daily 5 gold upkeep since these are resurrect-able.
I still have all of the heroes I was offered to me. I have 4 total right now that I pay no daily upkeep on. I MIGHT be wrong but i think one of those heroes actually died and I revived them. I could be wrong, but im almost 90% sure mine were able to be resurrected. But I think you have only an hour to do it. Im not completely sure how it goes, maybe Crimson can touch up on that a bit.
