I debated with myself weather to mention the well or not. But I felt you could use some good news, with all the armies being stuck in limbo the last while.
Gavin	on: 03 Jan 2011 [08:59] updated: 03 Jan 2011 [09:02] i tend to just send in my robbing group without much thought on it, i have heard some people who send in barely any troops but their hero as the amount of troops that come out of the well is related to the amount that explore, as long as your troops are well formatted a well is fairly easy no matter how many troops you got there, its a judgment call basically lol, which is basically dependent on what troops you can get there see this: http://www.1100ad.com/forumviewthread.php?id=19596&find=well#content fairly useful thread on wells into search, or just type wells in, you'll see a lot of threads on it

Edit in: When you click on your well in the town, and hit "Explore" the battle automatically happens. (Switch to tactics to view it) * You WILL NOT get a battle report *

I got 3 groups of rats and a pack of thieves equivalent in number to my army in the town... I lost more than half and had to send off my remaining carts (lost about 300 of them...) to another of my cities along with my remaining rams (are they useful at all on this server!?? –I lost about 30 of them...) and had to BUY armies not to lose my hero... What worked best was to have marksmen for me...

feildmaster	on: 17 Jan 2011 [00:27] updated: 17 Jan 2011 [00:27] The well is totally random cucullhan. It can be open in ANY city at ANY time, once it opens it stays open until you explore it. After exploring it usually takes about 1 week to be able to explore it again. (Can be shorter, can be longer) and MMM is a crazy player that plays on every server, and has way too much time on his hands.
