I wanna know why every day I am experiencing problems with EXTREME lag. I click on a command or I issue a command in my town, in anothers town, or any campaign, and either nothing happens or I have to wait over 2 minutes for the screen to respond after I click something. Most of it has cleared up today, but there are still a few things that are really fukin up. For an example: in the market everytime I click on a type of ore, change the ore trade amount, or establish a trade, the screen scrolls up to a blank space. Everytime I click anything the screen goes nuts and I have to re-adjust it. This has been a problem for about 2 days now. Another thing is changing wall patterns. As soon as you choose how a piece of your wall looks, it will turn the screen as the background scheme (a green colored marble texture). You have to refresh the page to get it to work, which means you have to refresh about 25 times before you make all your trade offers.
Another thing is the main web page log in screen. This screen has been unavailable to me for the past 2 days as well. Due to this problem I have lost thousands of troops, and actually a good amount of gold as well. I would be on a tough, well defended area then all of a sudden 1100ad.com is offline. I come back and my armies are gone, which never happens. Its only when the main page is unresponsive. And its not like an army of a commander city has attacked me because sometimes i come back within 1 minute of the web page fault and my army is completely vanished.
The final thing that I noticed that has been really screwing me up is splitting up armies or picking the number of armies to attack a city. Everytime the troop numeration inventory comes up on the right side of your screen, it should have a number indicating how many troops you have of each. This does not show for me. I can only type a number that I know is higher than what I have and it will show my maximum. Then I have to split the armies up equally.
This has all happened in the past 2 days. This stuff is something that has been fixed and has been working properly since I have started playing. What the hell is going on with this game? It just seems now, that everything I try to do doesnt work, or takes like 5 minutes to even initiate.
WTF???????

by the way. Concerning the lag part....its not like everything on my pc that lags. I check other webpages and stuff and it works 100%. This is the same thing for when the main 1100ad.com page is down. Its only the 1100ad site, and nothing else. Im sick and tired of being screwed by this god damn game and I demand (not ask) a refund of what I have lost because of your problems. Whether I talk to a developer, game master, i dont care. Someone should reimburse me for the shit I worked hard to get and lost in 5 seconds.

first, sorry for all the trouble you are having. sounds like you've been having a very bad couple of days...
second, what internet browser are you using?
for the lag, you might want to see if increasing the update frequency will help. its under profile under settings.
and this has happen over and over? do you every find them? are they listed in tavern? where is your hero when this happens?
most of what you said sounds a lot like browser issues. once you confirm your browser, I can further assist you.

HemoManiac I offer regards as to what happened to you.
However. Bigger players have lost more, asked for less, and have gotten nothing in return. You would have better luck strolling to the bus stop and asking a stranger for $5 because a video game wasn't fair to you. It's not that the developers don't care or actually it might be. I have no clue. All I know is that their greatest gift and worst attribute is the laissez faire tactic.
PS - "Demanding" compensation is the same thing asking for it. You just changed the punctuation. Either way you are relying on the developers for more then you should.
PPS - I heard a joke going around by players. It went that every time they lost an army or troops to a glitch they claimed that the "plague came early" and simply rebuilt their armies best they could.

what internet browser are you using?
my internet browser is Opera. Fastest, most reliable browser in my opinion. I used to have Explorer and it blew hard. Believe it or not I had more problems with explorer. I never have any problems with any site ever, except this game.
and this has happen over and over? do you every find them? are they listed in tavern? where is your hero when this happens?
Yes this happened at least 5 times so far in the past week or two. No, I can never find them. they arent listed anywhere, no battle log, nothing. Just VANISHED.
And yea your right Cath. After I posted this thread I thought about the ppl that have been playing for a long time that probably lost thousands of troops from something stupid. I cant complain. I just want to know why this happens to me all the time[/quote]

It probably is your browser. Give Firefox a shot and see if it goes any smoother. It is the best browser for this game, I believe.

100% correct. IE is the worst browser you can ever have in the leading competitors.
when you switch over, do not import anything from opera
so the hero is not in castle?

well yes, the hero was in castle and I resurrected him. But there was no evidence of any battle. The time I was not watching my army was also not enough time for an enemy to kill me. It was very brief moment that I was away re-logging.

maybe he died before hand and you just did not know about it until then. all that I know, is that if a army vanishes the hero goes into hiding. I've never heard of a case where the army disappears and the hero is dead.
