I've been following the tutorial, which hasn't been an issue, for the most part, until recently.
Yesterday, after successfully robbing the storehouse in another city, while still in that city, that particular part of the tutorial was completed, even though it stated that I was supposed to return home first. That just seemed a bit odd, but I shrugged and moved on.
What irked me was what came up then, which was the order to build the well. I understand the main use of the well, which is fine, but I have to wonder at the fact that building it opens me up to the possibility of having to find thieves even before my new status ends, thus pulling me away from other activities that could make me stronger and more capable of withstanding an attack. But even that seems fairly minor.
It was the order to build the library, which came right on the heels of finishing the well, that really pissed me off. I'm still trying to build up my original city, for the same reasons as mentioned in the previous paragraph, yet I cannot advance in the tutorial without finishing the library, which means pulling VALUABLE resources from building everything else that I need more at this point.
Forcing the "learning" to get the second control point, at this point in time, is entirely useless to me, yet I have to do it to advance with the tutorial. How does doing this so early even make sense?

Shouldn't I be focusing on finishing building my FIRST city's resources up, and making sure I am well protected, BEFORE going for the second control point?
