OK so if 1 city with all its farms maxed out, it only provides you with 7,250 population. So how do u get huge 100,000 to 300,000 man armies??? I just don't see where all the numbers add up.

Camps. You can build hundreds of camps each providing you 500 to 2800 mercenary points or more depending on the server you play.
