Since this is PvE would I need walls for any reason?
If I plan on not accepting a war invitation, it seems I wouldn't. Are there any environment folks that will actively attack my cities?

it may be PvE but you can still attack people, you just can't declare war on them without their approval...you do not need to declare war to rob and destroy walls...to rob, most likely yes...

yes they keep out maruders and people like me who go in and robb from everyone around me. the walls can keep out all there calviery and cart(which carry the goods they would have robbed from u). And just cause its PvE doesnt mean people dont attack u i go into places all the time and take resourses and kill army.
