adventure hut is the name of the computer that controls the town. the town's name varies a little however they are easily (most) seen as places on the map that are not a town or landscape of the map.

What about the original question - does anyone know the stats on the slave units?

all i know is they move quite fast (they can climb a mountain in about 2 mins, on flat land they move almost instantly ... your ranger, the faster unmounted unit known by now in the field, can do that in about 4 - the climbing, i mean), they come in relatively large groups and are easy to kill by archers and men-at-war ... they are better than footpads, probably better than pikes and swords too.

edit : to defeat a group of 100 slaves you'll need at least 80 - 100 archers (the more, the better), a good shield of men-at-war (about 50) and enough time to do the killing (:s1:) - as i said, they move fast .. so my advice is to get at least 150 archers and 50 men-at-war if you want to wipe 'em quick ... if you are adventuring into deserted mines do not try to cross all that mountain chain with your main army corps ... do not take the chance to engage slaves (or any other AI troops) in those mountains while you are moving.

It is impossible to kill them whit 150 archers. I was trying and all what I did get was 20 them dead. They move to fast. It is hardly impossible to kill them.
P.S. I am Latvian, but the Latvian forum is in really big mes.

it is possible, please believe me, i already did it a few times (it's true, all this happened in a deserted mine, on a rough terrain, where they were slowed a bit) ... just don't engage them in the open field ... and don't forget your shield of whatever troops you think are suitable.

I think that the best way is whit Horse Archer's. I just tried them on marauder. That was interesting and quick.

I have 70 archers and 20+ marksmen and I have been decimating the slaves so far (:s12:) - wave after wave....sometimes they get to me but I only lost a few men each time they hit me. Definately need a few men for a meat shield. I am using a mix between swordsman and man-at-arms and staying in the mountains. (:s11:)
