Hello everyone. We have monitored accounts for a while and have noticed a set of people with multiple accounts that is exactly not the way we wish our game to look like.
So, anyone who is playing with 2 or more accounts at the same time are given time till Saturday, June 13th to notify us a list of accounts you hold and which accounts to ban. All listed accounts will be banned and one account will be left for person without any punishment. After that time, June 13th, having more than 1 account will be strongly prohibited, and if you will be caught (we have in-game detection system for administration already) - all your accounts will be banned. So it is heavily recommended to use an opportunity and block cloned accounts as fast as possible. Just specify a list of accounts (and server) you have and which of them should be banned as a reply to this message (or to support@1100ad.com e-mail if wish to act stealthy). |

Well, what they need to do is look at if the accounts on the same IP's have benefitted each other. Through market trades for instance. If the accounts haven't had any interaction with each other, then there's no reason to take action against them.
Not to mention the fact that like 6 of my friends that play this game have played it off my WIFI in the porch behind my house, how are you guys gonna handle things like that? Cause I've also logged on from my friends houses before. |

Apparently this isn't a good game to spread by word of mouth if me, my dad, 3 of his co-workers, my brother, and 6 friends are all going to get banned for helping each other and all occasionally being on the same IP at one time or another. Unless you guys are only doing it if they used market trades to benefit each other, in which case we'd be fine because we're still competing with each other but are allied.

I concur with this. please, don't be mad at the developers, be mad at the cheaters who can't win without cheating. they are the ones to blame since it makes it unfair to the rest of us... 7star no. this only pertains to people who have more than 1 account on either server. if you have one account on both servers then that's ok! Annihilator, Beastmaster: I'm pretty sure that if they use your internet once in a while then that will be ok. however if they use your internet everyday then that would be suspicious... |

Dear develop team
I would like to suggest that player can own more than 1 account but they must declare their accounts + no support actions between accounts (such as no trading, no aiding campaigns, no coordinating attack campaign). If you implement it, i think that it can satisfy all players and it also can create fair environment, no cheating Regards |

This is not too simple, since this is quite common for some places when just a several ip addresses are available to some small city, so denying too many activities with matched ip addresses automatically is a bad idea. Better way is to block some operations and take care of the rest of them. PS: Clever multiaccounters use proxies or computers nearby with different ip so if just looking towards ip address it would be impossible to catch them. So we need cleverer checks. It is just not too straight to resolve by a simple check in code. |

Well, yes, this problem was discused in one other game, where users, that were playing in internet cafe with the same Ip, where banned...
This ofcourse is a big problem, because iff a guy makes 10 accounts, develops them till obelisk and goes under his main account as a vassal, there is almost inpossible to catch him... ![]() I agree that activities to players with matched Ip's wouldn't be 100% usefull, but still 70% of multi-players use the same IP! I have a server machine with two IP's and iff I use Remote desktop from my PC, than I can generate 3 IP's! Luckly for developers the clever people are usually to lazzy or busy to make multi-accounts ![]() |
