World Cities Day, established by the United Nations in 2013 and first observed in 2014 to honour the importance of cities in human civilization. In medieval times, cities were the beating hearts of kingdoms, where mighty fortresses protected their people, bustling markets brought wealth, and skilled craftsmen created wonders that endured for centuries. Behind every prosperous kingdom stood thriving cities, whose walls, towers, and magnificent buildings reflected the power and ambition of their rulers.
From humble settlements to glorious capitals, every great city began with a vision and the determination to make it real.
May your builders never tire, your treasuries overflow, and your cities rise to everlasting glory!
