International Cat Day is celebrated every year on August 8 to honor our feline friends and raise awareness about their welfare. Created in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare, it’s a purr-fect excuse to show extra love to your cat (as if they don’t already own the house). Organize a “cat yoga” session, where your cat will either nap on the mat or judge your downward dog. Try a DIY cat photoshoot with silly props like sunglasses or tiny crowns. Or, for maximum comedy, build a cardboard box “cat mansion” and watch your feline immediately ignore it in favor of the box it came in.
