As the title says, before the latest changes, we could see which location the battles were in, it's especially bad with mercenary camps:
Before I only had to click on the link in the report to go directly to the appropriate location. Why removing something that was working very well?

when you click on the specific Fight report, there is a little Compass type icon next to the city or location name that will center the map on the location.

That is correct. The feature was not removed, but just re-designed.
