Yeap, that’s what many of you’ve long awaited! Olympic Games in 1100AD come back!

The first 1100AD Olympics took place in June, 2013. More than 100 players participated, and winners got wonderful prizes. If you would like to read more about summer games – you can find it in this forum thread.

And today we welcome you to take part in new winter Olympics with five contests:
1. Golden Fleece.
2. Calydonian Boar.
3. Hades Underworld.
4. Gods on Mount Olympus.
5. Cretan Labyrinth.

Rules and Conditions:
1. As you know, there are two major groups of players in 1100AD – knights and common players. To make if fare, we are organizing two separate tournaments:
- REGULAR TOURNAMENT – for vassals and regular players. Into each contest players may take an army that is equal to 10 000 UNITS, plus maximum 15 heroes.
- KNIGHTS TOURNAMENT – for knights. Knights can participate in contests only with an army that is equal to 20 000 UNITS for each player (the number of heroes is unlimited).
NOTICE: You may not use unique server units (only those, which can be hired on any 1100AD server). Also you may not use HEAVY ROYAL GUARDS, which usually are hired to protect the Citadel.

2. WINNER on the SERVER becomes the one with the maximum points earned.
WINNER AMONG ALL SERVERS becomes the one with minimum population losses.

3. Points for Winner on the Server are counted by the following formula – the smaller are your team losses of population in the contest – the higher is your place and the more points you get.
1st place = 7 points.
2nd place = 5 points.
3rd place = 4 points.
4th place = 3 points.
5th place = 2 points.
6th place = 1 point.
The number of population losses is equal to the number of population and mercenary points for the units, killed during the contest, where 1 mercenary point = 1 population point.

4. TOP 3 in each tournament will get prizes. (3 in Regular Tournament and 3 in Knights Tournament).

5. If after five main contests two teams have equal number of points – a special duel contest will be held to decide the winner.
If both teams decline to participate in the duel – they both loose their right to become winners and get prizes. In this case those teams win, which are following them in the rankings.
If one of the dueling teams has a right to apply for the WINNER AMONG ALL SERVERS prize, and declines to participate in the duel – that team loses its right to become the Winner Among All Servers.
For the team, which loses in the duel contest, 1100AD Administration will resurrect heroes and their statuses.

6. WINNER AMONG ALL SERVERS
The team, which has minimum population losses (summarized losses of all team participants) among all servers, becomes the Winner Among All Servers. Two teams will get this status and prizes – one in the Regular Tournament and one in the Knights Tournament.

7. If the winner among all servers is hard to decide – extra contest will be held between two challenging teams.

8. As soon as the new contest is officially announced on forum participants have 24 hours to take part in the contest. If the team doesn’t finish the contest on time – it receives a penalty point. If the team doesn’t take part in the contest – it gets two penalty points. The team that gets more than 3 penalty points is disqualified.

9. Lost armies and killed heroes and their statuses are not compensated by the 1100AD Administration.

10. As soon as Unification of Aragon server has its own specifics – players on that server will have separate contests, and won’t be able to participate in the Winner Among All Servers nomination.

11. Conditions and general rules.
1. Every participant agrees with all the rules above.
2. Order Master has to apply on behalf of his team in THIS forum thread. Order Master is also responsible for his team players and their well-timed participation in contests.
3. Participants of the Regular Tournament should choose the Team Captain and he/she on behalf of the team should apply in THIS forum thread.
4. Teams may not change their team players after they have applied to participate. Maximum 5 players from one team may take part in one contest. Teammates may complete contest tasks separately, one after another, or all together.
5. Teams may withdraw themselves from participation the day before Olympic Games begin (January 13th is the day of the first contest).

Participate and win AWESOME PRIZES:

KNIGHTS TOURNAMENT
1st place
5000 gold for every player in the team + 1 Order Skill Point (may be added to combat skills – logistics, leadership, defense, attack – if they are less than 22 points) + 1 location control point to every team player + 1 set of new artifacts + Teuton Shield + 200k resources.

2nd place
5000 gold for every player in the team + Artifact Storage + set of combat artifacts + 200k resources.

3rd place
1500 gold for every player in the team + 200k resources + 10 lvl Artifact Storage.

Winner Among All Servers gets:
1 City control point + Capital city bonuses for one city for each team player + 6 months gold subscription for each team player.

REGULAR TOURNAMENT
1st place
3000 gold for each player in the team + Artifact Storage + Teuton Shield + 200k resources.

2nd place
2000 gold for every player in the team + 10lbl Artifact Storage + 200k resources + Set of combat artifacts.

3rd place
1000 gold for every player in the team + Set of combat artifacts + 5 lvl Strongbox + 200k resources.

Winner Among All Servers in this tournament also receives:
Capital City Bonuses for each team player + 1 Location Control Point to each team player + 6 month Baron Package.

City control points are granted only for players in the team. If the player denies to receive the prize (all or one prize), or transfers it to another player – all items in the prize are annulled.

REGISTRATION

You may apply to participate on December 25th, 2013.
Last registration date is January 8th, 2014.

Olympic Games start on January 13th, 2014 at 12:00 (server time).

You should register in this forum thread by posting the following:
For Regular Tournament: “I, (NICKNAME), would like to participate in Olympic Games on (SERVER). My teammates are: (NICKNAME1, NICKNAME2, …)”.

For Knights Tournament: Order (ORDER NAME) will participate in Olympic Games on (SERVER). My teammates are: (NICKNAME1, NICKNAME2, …)”.

To organize Olympic Games on a server at least three Orders or three Teams should apply to participate.
If the number of applicants for the Knight Tournament is less than three – Knight Tournament won’t be organized on that server. If the number of applicants for the Regular Tournament is less than three – Regular Tournament won’t be organized either.
