London, capital of Britain, survived many disasters, including numerous fires. One of them known as "the Great Fire of Southwark" began on 10 July 1212 in Southwark, the borough directly to the south of London Bridge. The flames destroyed Southwark Cathedral and strong winds pushed them towards the bridge, which also caught fire. London buildings these times were predominantly wooden, with straw roofs and tar used for insulation. City burst in flames and third part of London turned into smoldering ruins. Fire trapped a large number of people on the London bridge, many of whom died either in the blaze or while attempting to escape on overloaded boats that had come to their aid. Total number of victims is believed to be about 3000 - for the medieval city this was a true disaster.

The great city burned at least six times between 1130 and 1666 what makes it some kind of dismal champion among other cities, proving that people never learn from their mistakes. However after Southwark fire London houses were rebuilt in stone, with tiled roofs instead of straw ones.

So as not to meet any disasters unprepared, 1100AD team gives all the players Tower drafts and 300 000 resource units.
