In one of my cities, I built a level 2 rare building requiring 9 cells. I realized it wasn't the best place for this building and I decided to move it 2 cells to the east and 2 cells to the north. The area is free so it shouldn't be a problem but when I try, I'm getting this error message: "You cannot terraform under a building!" I'm not trying to terraform, I shouldn't get that message.

Anyone else tried to move a rare building and got that kind of message?

Well, if I am picturing what you are trying to do correctly, where the old building is, compare that with where you want to move the building to, there is one cell overlap.

My guess is that you are getting that error message because of that overlap.

That would be the reason, the building would overlap with itself on 2 cells. If I would get back the drafts, I would demolish the building and rebuild it where I want it but I'm almost certain the drafts once used are gone and I won't try it. Thank you for your help.

You will not get the drafts back. When you first built the building, did you have enough free spots around to make it a 9-cell building if you did not place anything in those spots?

Also, can you send a screenshot of the area you with to move it to (please include the grid).

You will not get the drafts back if you demolish or downgrade (Do not know 100% but seems logical to me).

On the image, the third option is where I'll move the building if the main option is impossible.

I tought it would be possible to move it even if the building itself is still there. Isn't the building getting moved to a new location, it shouldn't be blocked by itself?

hmm, strange. maybe it is blocked by itself? If it is, it's bad coding as I can't think of a reason why not to allow such a move. You can do a simple test to confirm and maybe even fix the problem. just demo your stables. it's rather cheap to build back, an not very intrusive to your game-play while it's being demolished and rebuilt in another location. Or you can send a support ticket in to see if moving rare buildings is even an option or if it's blocking itself...

[Edit| Well, it seems overlapping itself is bad. You must demo the stables if you wish to move the rare building. I talked with a developer on this and they said that they will fix this problem in the future, however, its not really high on the to-do list]
