One type of cheap meat - a lot of it - in the first row, all types of archers and your heroes in the last rows. Have (at least) the following master skills on your heroes:
- leadership
- pathfinding
- archery
- one hero with scouting at maximum

This should help you to survive there, kill the defenders and be quick enough to neither get into close combat with the defenders, nor be stuck if a big player shows up.
To see if your balance of meat / archers is good, stay at the entrance the first time and see if you can kill what is attacking you before it can reach you. Furthermore, always wtach over your army in unprotected huts, a big player might show up ... even if he doesn't kill you, the quantity of defenders will raise significantly!
