The idea of cheap meat units in the front row and ranged units behind that line is a very good one.

Here are a few ideas of mine how you could improve your results:

- There is no need to take any war machines into an adventure huts. You cannot destroy any buildings there, that would be their only real purpose. And, as you pointed out correctly, they slow you down a lot. Just leave them at home.
- Check your army formation under "profile" -> "army formation". You would want only your cheap meat units in the front row and your heroes and ranged units in the back.
- Optimize the number of each unit that you take with you. Each hero "supports" a certain number of units.
- The defending troops will send groups at you according to the attack power that you bring with you. So the less attack power you bring, the fewer defenders will come after you. You have to find the perfect balance to survive / be successsfull.
- Watch out for big players in huts that aren't protected by walls. They will raise the number of defenders or attack you. Both ways, you will most likely be killed.

If you have any more questions on this topic, post them here. (:s1:)

there is 4 row in formation can melee attackers do dmg in row 2?

i had 3 hero with my army mainly specialize with lojistic pathfinding and leadership. do three of them effect at the same time? if yes do their benefit stacks? where can i find how many soldier each hero can effect?

We all made mistakes at the start, it's part of the learning process in this game and everywhere. (:s30:)
You'll see that you need to learn a lot at the start, but the game is fun. (:s1:)

There is a wiki about the game that answer most of your questions. I noticed the different images and unit names that you have, so I assume that you are playing on the new el dorado server.
Since it's new and I don't play it, I'm not sure if everything that I write is correct for that server. (:s5:) But the basic game principle is the same, so most of it should be good:
http://1100ad.de/wiki/GameGuide#City_-_Tactics (info on tactics and the army settings; These settings are the key to tell your army how to fight and whether to chase your enemy.)

http://1100ad.de/wiki/Hero (important information on your heroes; They are a very important part of the game. The exact numbers aren't given away by the developers and players do not agree 100%, but 3 heroes in one army support roughly 300 troops of each unit. It does depend on more things though, for example artifacts or the basic moral of the unit.)

If you have still more questions on this, please post them here. Although I might not be able to answer server specific questions for el dorado, others will surely be able to help. (:s11:)

here is a screen from one of my try

army consist of meat like pikeman+swiss merc+sword

and ranged like musketers genoese settlers(rangers)

musk has 2 sight 3 range
genoese has 1 sight 2 range
rangers has 3 sight 2 range

i at least should kill some of them at 2 range away with my 300 settler. but all fight start when they come 1 sector away from my army. what i am doing wrong?

i settled my army to high attack stance

"Aggression: high" button sets your army to "attacking" stance — your soldiers will attack the enemy if they know where he is (another army or watchtower spotted the enemy, for example). Whether they will attack in melee or at range is configured by the "Attack Range" buttons;

from this i undestand that if scout saw incoming army they will know where are they and will shot. so even musketers have to shot.

i also set my range as ranged

8) - "Attack range: ranged" button sets your army's range to the longest one available (usually 4 - the one of the Norman archer). Your army will start attacking the foes from their longest range and won't try to engage them in melee.

Not a good idea. (:s15:)

Here is what you should try:
- At your own city, create an army with 3 heroes, 300 of each ranged unit, no war machines and at least 500 of the cheapest meat unit. (That would be swordsmen on the older servers, I have no idea what they are on el dorado, but you can easily find out by looking at the mouse-over text of each infantry unit that can be hired for population. Just choose the unit with the best population / HP ratio.)
- Put them all in one army and select low aggression and high attack range. Then go to the hut.
- Place the army on a forest spot near the entrance. And watch your army defeat the enemy before they can even reach you.

Two comments:
- What I wrote above is only a rough guide, because I believe that experimenting with the details is very important when learning something. Also, there are a lot of details that need to be taken care of, like your heroes' skills, artifacts, army formation. These I can't explain in enough detail in one forum thread, because it would take too much time and would most likely be incorrect, because I don't play on el dorado.
- Pvp fights would require a totally different army, what I described above is an army that could fight off the native defenders in a barbarian settlement.
