Yesterday and day before, I went on a naval robbing operation. This involved sending COGS and troops to an ally port some distance away from me but on the same shore line. So far so good. I scouted a city in the interior to rob and it looked easy, so I sent my army from the ally port to the rob city and captured 18K in resources. However when my army got back to my allies city, the resources they were carrying disappeared and my army went home on the COGS to my port EMPTY? I could have sent them home overland but the journey is over a day. As it was the operation took 26 hrs to complete using COGS! My question is WHY did the system strip me of my resources?

the resources are dropped off at the town you return to. They did not disappear, you just gave them to your ally. As this topic is not a bug, I moved it to the help/support section.

Oh. I would like it better IF I had that as an option to do and not something automatic. It discourages Viking like robbing.(:s20:)

Yea well... to be able to have a army that can stay days away from your towns and rob other towns using a ally's town as the jump point for days on end seems a bit power-some...If there are no towns to rob near your towns, then move. Luck and strategy man...
