Yes, enter tactics screen (button just right of where it tells you your current diamond amount) select a group, then use the split army command in tactics. Also, please do not post multiple threads about the same topic, that's spamming.

have tried that but when thew menu comes up and you select armies to split there is no button to acualy split the army

Hi
I have the same problem. The button which is used to create another army does not light up when you want to split army. The words "create army" are not on the button and you can only see the top of the button. I think it must be a graphics problem within the game.
