This is a tactics game, you can move your armies around; follow the tutorial as later steps explains how to issue commands in tactics.

if you are playing aragon, this server is non-tactics so its different from the other servers. you must specify the type of campaign being sent while in the attack screen. It seems you just sent a basic attack campaign which only kill the troops there and that's all. you want to specify a rob campaign to rob the town.
