What happens to an Order if the Master resigns from the game? Does another member automatically become Master?

No.
The order will no longer exist. The members would be on their own.

Yes, maybe ... but on the other hand, if actively playing in an order, you will notice that your order master isn't active anymore. Then you'd have enough time to look for another order.

You can always pay (its either 1/3 or 2/3) of the total order cost to switch order master. this can only be done through support.
