I'm going through the tutorial and at the point where I need to capture another city. (I have put enough resources in my library and everything). I tried attacking the way the tutorial said, but it didn't seem to work: select a city to attack, select all troops, and hit "attack". The "attack" on my screen was lit up but clicking that didn't actually do anything, so I then hit the send button which sent my troops to the other city. Thirty hours later they were there, but didn't do anything. I left them there for a full 24 hours and still nothing had happened so I sent them home again. I want to try again, but can't figure anything else out. What am I doing wrong???

ah, not the attack button, there should be another button towards the bottom with a picture of a flag. and when you mouse over it it should say something like capture/explore, that's what you need to click.
that's all i remember from playing on aragon. since my old account got discontinued happy new year in a few hours (U.S. standard time)

you must send capture campaign, not attack campaign. the tutorial was made for tactic enabled servers so there are some ambiguity...

... and also, you can deselect your trebuchet on the right side panel before hitting the "send" button...
A trebuchet (the unit you sent along) is not really designed to travel from city to city, it is maybe more designed to protect your existing cities! If you send it, it considerably slows down your army (time x100) that accompanies it...
Happy new year 912!

How do you get your troops back to your original city?

And you say that like its a bad thing....... huh? Shame on you karloc.
I'm just tellin the nube about his pied piper. He needs to be told these things..... when he finds the pied piper he will have uncovered all the other stuff he needs to play well.
