Dear players, today we are launching a new server called Britannia. This server differs from others not only by changed gameplay traits, but also by some technical aspects:
- The maximum number of members in order is set to 20;
- There will be a registration time limit on this server;
- Originally new server has only one valley, 1000 x 1000 tiles in size;
- The valley itself is a relatively detailed copy of a map of Britannia (England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland etc.) of the 12th century:

http://www.1100ad.com/wiki/images/a/ab/Map_of_Britannia_630_width.jpg

- There are a number of real historical cities present on the valley map. Originally, these cities are geographically tied to their unique locations and cannot be renamed. Each of these towns has an increased number of specific resource extraction sources and big marauder armies defending them.
- Britannia has six special orders that are created by game administration. These orders represent kingdoms that fought for control over Britannia in late 12th, early 13th centuries; they will be given to players – owners of most powerful orders of other servers who wish to participate in war for Britannia. Probably, there will be a lot of people wishing to rule a kingdom, so in order to decide who receives what, we are going to organize a raffle, which results will be presented on forums in form of a video-interview.

The orders are:
- England;
- Ireland;
- Lord’s Alliance (faithful to England);
- Wales;
- Norway;
- Scotland.

Everyone to wishes to rule one of the six orders must leave a reply to this topic with his application using the following format:
Your_account_name, your_order_name, server_name_where_you_have_an_order, kingdom_you_wish_to_rule,
for example:
vladimirt, Beta World, Order1, Scotland

Attention(!):
Each player should note that in order to participate in the drawing of “kingdom-order”, his order on the other server should have at least 30 members (30 and more).

From time to time, master of the each “kingdom-order” will receive a quest from system commander, upon completing which an order will receive a prize.
And finally, in order to celebrate the opening of the new server, we are giving you a discount of 60% for both silver and gold subscriptions on Britannia.

------------------------------------------MAIN POST UPDATE------------------------------------------

1) Existing water of darker color is considered to be an ocean, this means that player cannot build on it, cannot dig or terra-form it and cannot use to form contours. It is so, because ocean is an important part on Britannia’s landscape and is used for sea travel. Thus, the shape of Britannia and Ireland cannot be changed irretrievably, so don’t worry about that.

2) It is possible to get to the other island; all you need to do is just send a campaign there. But your army will travel there on their own, without any docks, galleys that transport troops or massive sea battles along the way, all this stuff is not supported right now.

3) We won’t remove the opportunity to create forts or build contours on Britannia, because it is a solid part of existing gameplay.

4) We’ve agreed upon players’ suggestions about the mercenary point payment problem and decided to reduce the maximum amount of glory points that lord/order master can ask of his vassal/wannabe order member upon signing the vassalage/order contract to 2000 (versus the existing 10000). Note that the following change will be only made to Britannia server, and it will be implemented on August 30, 2011.

5) The filing for “kingdom-orders” will be closed on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. After that, we will organize a raffle.
ATTENTION (!):
After we know who are the winners, we will grant them their “kingdom-orders” and move them (their cities) to appropriate geographical locations, meaning that master of order “England” will be moved to England, master of order “Wales” will be moved to Welsh territory and so on. This will be done only once and only for masters of those six “kingdom-orders”.

6) The system for fighting the multi-accounting issue is finally written and its initial start will be on Britannia server, meaning that all the “clones” will get banned once a week.

7) Discounts of 60% for subscriptions will be available until September 2, 2011 (In case we decide to extend this period, you will be notified in this very post).

8) Please note that restriction of owning an order with at least 30 members on any other server in order to be able to participate in the raffle for new “kingdom-order” on Britannia is created only to ensure that these kingdoms will be ruled by experienced players that are able to bring their states to glory and prosperity. It is still possible to create your own order the way you want it and in case your order is authentic enough, it might be included in one of the Britannia’s plot lines. Thus I ask you not to take it offensively.

9) We are not able to tell you when the registration to play on Britannia will be closed, it’s classified information.

10) After appointing the “kingdom-order” masters, once a week we are going to upload a political map of Britain and Ireland showing the current influence and expansion of initial six “kingdom-orders”.

Not so cool s6

This is merely done in order to control the situation. People who were able to rule big powerful orders for a long period of time are more likely to be able to control "kingdom-orders" more wisely. Do not worry, supporting orders, created by players will play their role in the fate of Britannia too.

I'm assuming there's a citadel, right? If so, what are the co-ordinates for it? Or is it a secret (:s17:)

Right now there is no citadel on this server, if need be, it will be introduced, but right now the main action will be built around 6 factions (kingdom-orders)

Ok, I assume there's going to be a place where these kingdom-orders will get a chance to fight for the control of Britannia? Also, will there be a chance for these kingdom-orders to be able to hire special units?

Quote vladimirt:

Why 30 members? If this server is limited to 20 slots per order, why do we need 30 member experience? Surely 16-20 would be suited?
Plus, it's not like these kingdom-orders are automatically going to have the 20 slots filled, so the sooner masters are appointed the better the Britannia experience.
Which leads to will these kingdom-orders have perfect order statistics such as level 20 attack, defense, logistics, leadership and knowledge?

Thanks for your reply, vladimirt. And thanks for this server, and for the 60% discount on gold! You guys finally got me to buy a subscription now (:s24:)

vladimirt you said that there will be the main 6 orders nice idea but whats the point in this if any random person can create there own?!?!

As there is no limit they will just over rule the other orders with just the amount of players!

I think player-created orders are limited to 20 slots, as well. So players will be balanced, but surely these kingdom-orders should have some benefits? (:s28:)
