Hello everyone!
I recently started to play this game and have to say that it has been real fun and relaxation for me playing it. Since I never played any game of this kind, I turned on the tutorial to help me discover the game. So I've been building my city for weeks now, with no intentions to attack anyone but just to build something of my own, create a small army, fulfill quests from tutorial. Speaking of which.... There is a quest that says "Rob a city". Fortunately, I didn't have to attack anyone since the tutorial gives the opportunity that says: "If you are unsure about attacking another player, you should look for a "noCommander" city. These cities are grayed out, and look slightly like so..." And so I found one "noCommander" city and tried to "rob" it. It ended in killing all of my troops for which I didn't know the reason. So I tried again - built a new army and came back. It worked once, but the second time all of my troops were killed again and then I found "Battle reports" finding out that both times my troops were killed by the same player. And I also recieved a personal message from that same player saying: "This is my farm. STOP" So what I wanted to ask you is this... If it says "noCommander", is it really abandoned city or is it someone's property? If it is someone property, how can I know and recognize such cities? I don't want to attack anyone, just want to enjoy the game. Sorry if this was a bit long post, but I'm just learning to play this game and was hoping you will help me. Best wishes and happy playing to all of you... big girl |

Well, after playing this game for a while and talking to some more experienced and really friendly players, I learned a lot.
I understand now why some players call a noCommander cities their own and I can deal with that. But for the sake of all new players I appeal to you "old" players that you don't kill immediately all troops if a new player attacks your "farm", since tutorial says that it is nobody's city. Give new players a chance to learn, explain them... at least a common warning is enough. There will always be players that wouldn't listen or players who want war. And then you can have someone to fight against and have a war over those farms. And as for the blackmail... that wasn't the last one. After I haven't left my town for a long time trying to build up an army and make something of my city, same guy came back with his friends and attacked my town several times, killed my troops again, robbed everything that could be robbed... It ended in asking me to pay him in gold if I want truce. I didn't pay and I wouldn't pay no meter the consequences. I didn't give up. The best thing I learned is that there are friendly players that will help and offer protection without asking anything in turn. Not even if you offer it, as I did. Thanks, guys. |

Unfortunately, this is true. I've had to give up one of my larger farms to a player with 6 times greater score than me. I resent him for this, but my only other option is to fight him, and under these circumstances, that is not a wise choice. Your best option is to lay low until you've built up a strong enough force to fight him. Or try to get under a better lord, one who does not work with tyranny and will help you fight. |

Well.... speaking as one of the guys that came to her rescue and later became her lord and will help her whenever she needs a hand with anything perhaps you should do your research before opening your mouth and speaking from an authoritative position when you have no idea what went on in the first place. Don't give me a reason to come to valley 16. |
