Dear players, we would like to hear your opinion about the following changes in the game:
1. Limiting the maximum amount of places in an order to 20 (new servers only), on the current servers the maximum amount of places in an order will be equal to amount of places in the largest order on that server (as of right now) 2. On PvP servers new way of calculating and distributing mercenary points for order members will be introduced: a) Points received by contracts and mercenary locations will be summed up and divided equally amongst all order members. b) Free points received from obelisks and fountains will remain on that player’s balance. 3. On PvP servers, additional bonus for mercenary points received from fountains. With each new fountain, the base amount of points received from each fountain will increase according to the following formula: n+n*(k*0.1-0.1) where k is the number of fountains in all player’s cities, n is the base amount of points for the specific fountain level. For example, the player has 2 fountains, level 1 and 2. As a result, the player will receive 300 + 300 * (2 * 0.1 - 0.1) = 300 + 300 * 0.1 = 330 for first fountain And the second fountain will give 950 + 950 * ( 2 * 0.1 - 0.1) = 950 + 950 * 0.1 = 1045 points. 4. On PvP servers, additional loot for destroying enemy troops will be introduced - 20% of the resources spent on the destroyed army. The resources will be added to player’s city after their army successfully comes back from the campaign. 5. Number of free heroes will change as well: For players without subscription – 1 hero For silver subscribers – 2 heroes For gold subscribers – 4 heroes. Moreover, for each city starting from 8, the number of free heroes on your upkeep gets increased by 1. For example, you have a silver subscription package and 8 cities – you can hire 3 free heroes. 6. For every 10 000 units in one cell morale of all armies (in the same cell) will be decreased by 1%, untill 25% of morale will be left. For example, if one cell has 100 000 units then morale drops by 10% to value of 90%, if 750 000 and more units are present, then morale drops by 75% to 25% level. |

First of all, I hate this.
Second of all, devs ideas are getting worse and worse thirds, lets see what I think about the ideas... 1. stupid idea (disadvantages new orders) 2. not that great of an idea 3. not bad idea but heavily favours gold players which everyone hates, so that too is a stupid idea. 4. not bad 5. wow another stupid idea! This still heavily favours gold players and this would discourage gold buying since the diamonds you get from it would no longer be able to buy heroes. Overall, bad idea, just my thoughts. |

NO NO NO i hate all of these changes, but this one the most if this is added and my order members get all my glory points that my vassals give me i quit and i do not leave my account in this game i reset it. If this is added and i have t share my vassals glory points i quit 100%. Bad idea i do not like this, makes the game stacked for players with gold to spend. in short 1. bad idea 2.bad idea 3. bad idea 4. bad idea 5 bad idea I think the devs should listen to the players i have seen some great ideas from players. |

I completely agree with konnormcleod.
Devs, please atleast think your ideas through before asking us. Think about the benefits and the disadvantages, not from your perspective, but ours. Recently, many of your ideas have been disliked by the players. Just think it through from our point of view, not yours. |

I think more freebies should be given to players who dont use gold to balance the difference between the gold spenders and non-gold spenders.
1. Pointless. This still wont save you being ganged up by the biggest orders in the server, since some orders spend more gold than others. 2. A good idea to weaken big orders but it still wont save you getting cornered by the big orders. 3. A good one 4. A good one too 5. The most ridiculous idea i have heard in my 1 year of playing here. this idea just makes the gold dpending players stronge. My suggestions 1. More chances of receiving free heroes from Kingdom Events especially for non-gold spenders. 2. Balance the server power. |

Dear Devs,
Think about it like this. The more satisfied players you have the more likely they are to going to buy gold. The more gold bought the more money you make. Changes in the game that are against the larger population of the game make players unhappy. Unhappy players leave (this may include current and future gold-buyers). No gold bought by us means no money for you. All in all: Our Satisfaction = your satisfaction. Sincerely, nathankwan and the greater majority of 1100ad |

Very well said. We the players need to realize that Amber Games is a for-profit organization, so their goal is to increase the number of players AND increase gold spending. This is a great gesture so I don't understand why some are attacking the devs here. We should thank them for giving us the opportunity to comment on the proposed changes and then comment in a constructive way by giving reasons (perhaps pros and cons) for each item you wish to comment on. Perhaps even offer a variation to a proposed change. It is a very difficult job to have a balanced game while also having gold spenders and non-gold spenders. Either way, somebody is not going to be happy with the outcome. If you look around each valley, you see tons of semi-active and now NC players and we all know of many old-timers who are already calling it quits. Something does need to change. The devs have the responsibility to figure out what that is while still making the game profitable and taking it to the next level. |

Well they really should ask the players since they are the ones who are spending the money and who play it, not them. If they just went ahead and made updates without asking, then there would be many players that would just stop. I believe that itis in their best interest for them to ask us. I am "attacking" them since I think they are stupid ideas.

I have read the developer's responses on other forums, and have an understanding of what is trying to be accomplished. For one thing, the gold spenders will always have an upper hand. This is the way of things, but if you are clever enough you can survive. I have never personally purchased gold, but I do well for myself.
Anyways, to approach the subject of this change, I will focus all of my energy on the 2nd paragraph. I personally believe that a separate forum should be created for each one of these changes, but as is I will continue to focus on what I believe to be the most important change. Something has to be changed about orders. They grow without limit, and on some servers they are out of control. With or without the shared order bonus there are many inactive players in orders that only serve as meat to the main order armies. This is unacceptable. I wish to be beaten out of skill, not popularity. That is what a game should be. So, this is what I propose: I agree with the cap being somewhere around 20. That is a good solid number; however, this does not address the matter of orders already in effect who have more than 20 slots. So, I propose a tax. For every 1 member in an order over 20 members a 2% tax should be deducted from the mercenary points of each order member's personal balance (this includes the mercenary points added by order bonus). The tax amount deducted should be displayed in the storehouse with the rest of the glory points distribution. This will have the desired effect of drastically reducing the number of players in orders universally while still allowing orders to fluctuate their numbers at their discretion. Orders will still be allowed to purchase additional slots (because there will still be some strategy in having more than 20 members). This will also keep the multiaccounters at bay due to the tax being a percentage instead of a static number. This will also give no additional advantages to gold spenders, but actually limiting them by not allowing them to create huge orders, but not limiting them to the point that there is not profit to be made. Indeed, this will most likely lead to the creation of many new orders that will cause more battles and more gold spending. This change would need to be announced at a minimum 3 weeks before release to allow for orders to organize themselves in preparation. But these are just my personal thoughts and opinions, and are open to discussion... Regards, Cathexis |

concerning change #5: ..lets do math.
4 hero's * 5 gold = 20 gold per day...30 day's/month = 600 gold. 12 months/year = 7200 gold. if you wait and buy a gold account subscription during summer or X-mas sales..cost is 3600 gold...thus, if you buy during a sale, you're net savings is 3600 gold. Basically the devs are giving gold account subscriptions hero's..and at least you get something more for your $$$ and hero upkeep is very expensive. 3600 gold is attainable...either through the sponsorpays, selling hero's, troops..etc...granted the sponsorpays heavily favor certain countries...but 3600 gold is about 50 usd's...and for 1 year of entertainment...that's not a bad deal...in my opinion...$50/year = about 4 bucks a month...less than a gallon of gas. Alot of work goes into this game, and the people creating it need to buy groceries also... --- 2nd note....I've got 9 cities, and a gold account..would I then receive 5 free hero's?...hell yes...I'm all in favor of that!...sorry for all you non gold spenders, but c'mon...of course you want to keep the people that actually put in some real $$ happy and give incentives to spend gold...2nd..there are players out there with 10 cities..big builders, and only have 1 hero...this would give them 3...and rewards people that play the game actively. For topic #1....this doesn't affect anyone really...except giving smaller orders chance to be equal someday with the larger orders, and for the larger order to have a cap on members...on Crusade if an Order has 50 slots, they'll still have 50 slots...but that order won't get 51...and 50 will be the cap on that server. Topic #2: that one really is not a good idea...it's very difficult for a player without an Order to take huts, and even harder to keep them...if you don't have a hut to provide for shared mercs, then chances are what Order will want to take you and reduce the current members strength? right now there is a mix between very active, and less active players inside orders...some members have only 1 hero...fine, they can make a meatshield army and contribute to taking hits for battles and protect other members, they can help rebuild other members in exchange for protection...but dividing up the merc points is a little goofy...and takes away individual achievements. #3....you made a change last time where it made purchasing fountains of glory pointless, and now making them extremely attractive after many people had cashed them in for some gold...goofy. basically you implement this, and then gold spenders will load up on fountains in their cities....which is probably the idea, spend more gold, but changing the rules of the game constantly..makes the idea of purchasing a fountain once people figure it out and exploit that option to the extreme..you'll probably change the equation of how many merc points would be given. #4... hell yes!!! that one I truly love, it will make having strongboxes a big plus, make battles more fun, and for the victor, you get fast rebuilds....and even for the loser...so long as you can escape with a few soldiers, you can get a faster rebuild from the troops you killed...question: say you kill 20K swords, and you don't have the capacity in your army to hold all that resources...do you get to still take the resources? |

I totally agree with this statement. Everything else would be an improvement (regardless, that some of the points are only meant and good for so called "golders", like the point about fountain of glory). But I am 150 % against the point about dividing mercenaries points amongst all the members. In this case the role of the magister, who is meant to be the leader of the order, will be lost, because his power will be taken away. Inactive players of the order will be given useless mercenaries points, which won't be spent, and the strongest players will lose their power, because those points will be taken away. I have worked very hard to be as strong as i am now. and i don't want to lose this achievement. So, please, You can include in the game all the changes (in this case only for bigger profit, but not for the better game for simple players), but cancel the point about dividing the mercenaries points. Thank You, Muminc |
