Howdy all! :3

Just recently joined the game, and was wanting to be a good member of the community and introduce myself. I liked the look of this place better than the other online strategy game I used to play, so figured I'd switch over. 1100AD has been a lot of fun so far! I speak English, German, and Russian; Also have prior experience with this type of game. (Played Tribal Wars for 3 years.)

Had two quick questions, if that's okay:
A) Can someone explain how the vassal system works? I looked elsewhere, but couldnt find a good explaination. And is it necessary to seek out an order to join in order to survive, or is staying solo an option?

B) Would anyone in valley 12 feel like being my ally, so that I don't get my butt handed to me while I acclimate to the game? I can promise that I'm a quick learner, and might be a handy ally in the future. ^^

Thanks for reading!~

trabal wars is only half the game this is, you have tactical combat unlike tribal wars which is auto...oh! wait. I see you posed this in the aragon section, aragon is the experimental server with no tactics unlike the rest of the servers which are tactics enabled.

what exactly do you wish it know? I will tell you this, if you become a vassal, you will lose newbie protection.

if you want to play competitively, you almost must have to join a order. however, you can survive without...

Yep! X) Which was why I picked Aragon. Figured I should play something closer to what I'm used to at first. Eventually I'll probably try out another server, since the tactical combat sounds ace. As for the Vassal system, I just don't get what the benefits it gives are. ^^; Could someone explain to me why becoming a vassal is beneficial, and how it works?(I don't plan to become one just yet, but I'm curious.)

And I figured as much, in regards to soloing. X) That's prettymuch a given in strategy games, so dunno why I asked. It's certainly something I'd never try.

Well being a vassal (depending on the lord) will give you protection, more knowledge of the game (by asking questions) and bonus troops (depends on what merc camps the lord has). Most people get a lord for protection, but I have a vassal who likes to pick my brain for some answers. In return, most lords ask for merc points. Hope this helps.
