It depends on from what valley and to what valley. It varies. For example, I wanted to move my city from valley 19 to valley 54. So I built a mark tower and I thought it would cost like 500 gold. I was way off. The mark tower said that it would cost me 10,700 gold to move my city from valley 19 to 54. It is not worth it.
