One of my enemy has a contour. He keeps expanding it to surrond my cities. Is there any way I can prevent this. Cuz its really starting to annoy me.

I beliebe that you can destroy them. Go to the valley map and click a contour that you would like to remove and pay the resources due. I think that the cost to remove one is 20,000 of each resource.

Billy_Talent, it costs 50 gold to remove lakes. Also, you can't terraform more than 2 spaces away from your town. mattchez, all you can try to do is to prevent him from closing the contour with a fort by blocking him from placing his mark tower with your mark tower.

There is one problem if your enemy has your city in the countur.. You can build underground way to an of yours coutry - if you are alone you can move any army within two cities connected with this way, or if you are part of order any of your order members can use your way - resume - your enemy has beckdoor in his contour...

Well...you can become a member of an order---and ask your order to help you attacking this player fort(the fort that close the territory),,,this could help you.
Regarding the money issue...yes you right...dont forgett this is a bussines in the end...before you start investing your time you will need be imformed....but even dont spending big amounts of gold...you can enjoy....just ask for a big player to be your Lord or become a member of an order...this will make you life easy

You don't have to be at war to destroy someone's fort on Grail...

Destruction is not the same as capture, and can be performed on a fort on Grail without declaration of war. Please do research before commenting again.
I have had Carpe Diem try to siege my fort before, trust me kiddo.
