Is there a need for walls in this server, since other armies can just get right into the city...?

Sir Adonis, you forget one small detail ... we have no tactics here, not in the way we were used to. How can you be sure your soldiers will place themselves on top of your walls ?
Cavalry and siege units will probably stop in front of a piece of wall but for how long ? The game mechanics may be different now and "tactics" are more closer to the Tribal Wars (or so it seems). The point is things are going a bit different on this server and we must wait for details from developers or from those who are more advanced in game. |

Ah yeah, the famous interview! I remember! Vajka was actually quite vague on the subject:
"Feildmaster: Walls... Do they work the same as in, slows the troops down, gives defensive bonuses when stationed, and blocks machines/cavalry? Vjaka: only 1 and 2, no blocking from movement Vjaka: and bonus only for defenders" Out of my experience on Aragon, upon reaching the place you visit, you first have some 2 to 3 minutes of travel within the city and then, you face the enemy troops. Walls or not walls, I don't see any difference... Also, no idea if the quantity of walls built counts or if just one is enough? Is the place to build one important as there is no "place" for the armies to be stationed in a city? Those are still mysteries to me... |
