Well the normal adventure huts will stay free as one can't own them. You can just explore them. So every druids temple, barbarian settlement, abandoned mines and so on are free and they'll stay free. However, from time to time a mercenary camp (can be obtained) gets free, too.
All you need to do is watch out for those. I was successfull about a week ago....

i have seen some free ones that can be capture when i look around valleys to find cities for capturing.
Platena give me a message and i'll send you some locations of some camps.
