depends on what you mean by many!
If you have a 1,000 troops, you do not want to have 1,000 armies.
And you can!
If you have 1,000 troops you might want only 3 or 4 armies.
To some players, that's not many but to others it is.
eric1313, It will take you at least a few more weeks and a lot of battles to figure it all out. We all go though this.
Try to limit your armies to no more than about 300 to 400 to start off with.

morale = how many troops of the same type (pike men, swordsmen, knights, etc) can attack per attack phase. if more than one non-hero group is on the same cell there is a morale penalty for all non-hero groups in the same cell. basically, it divides morale by number of non-hero groups which means you most likely do less damage per attack.

1000 troops u might want 1 armie... 3 or 4 armies would be a real waste and ud get beat EASY
