How to explore the well

Introduction

The well is a very important building to any city. It provides 400 extra population which is a real bonus to any town. It also however provides exp for your hero(s) and resources for your town every now and then. How does that work you may ask yourself. Well this FAQ will explain this part for you!

Stolen resources

About a week or so after you built the well, you will receive a message in your town message box with the title of “Stolen resources”. Once you received this message you can explore the well. You can do this at any time, the quest will not expire. After you complete the quest, you will have to wait until you get another “stolen resources” message before you can explore the well again which is about a week or so. Each town’s well is a separate entity ergo exploring one well will not complete the same quest in your other towns.

Exploring the well

To explore the well you must have a hero in the group that will explore. Simply select the group, click on the well and then click the “explore” icon that pops up in the box. If the “explore” icon is not there then you do not have a hero in the group(s) you’ve selected. Ok, now when the group gets there to explore a timer will pop up that is set at 10 minutes. It takes 10 minutes to explore the well so go twiddle your fingers or whatever you do in your free time. Once the timer starts do not do anything to the group that’s exploring since it will reset the timer back to ten minutes.

Fight!

After the ten minutes are up, you suddenly will encounter thieves and rat groups to fight. These groups will appear around the well. The group that was exploring will surely be surrounded by enemy groups. Usually there are 3-5 groups but the amount of groups and the number of troops per group depends on the strength of your army. Technically, the quest is finished once the timer reaches 0 and the merchant, as a reward to getting his resources back, will give you a random amount of all resources so there is no need to kill the enemy groups if you don’t want to. However, the enemy groups will just roam around in your city if you do not kill them so it is advised you kill them as soon as you can. Well, that’s all for this quest!
