Mercenaries appear in the castle only after Obelisk of Glory is built. Their types, characteristics and prices can be viewed in the castle in the tab "Mercenaries".
As we can see on the picture, now available for recruitment are 38 Horse Archers, 6 Royal Guards, 49 Highwayman and other, this is just an example, their count is not constant. More than that it is more often that none are available then there are any :). They dont appear RIGHT after the Obelisk is built and also NOT in big amounts, so it is better not to expect all kind of mercenaries inflow, you will have to wait a day or more, sometimes 3-4 days for full assortment, but it can also happen that some mercenaries do not appear even within a week.
